Join Christina, T.K., Brad and Kelly as they begin their dream, post-graduation trip in Europe. Unfortunately, what starts out as a dream quickly spirals into a nightmare. A mysterious map comes into their possession and suddenly they find themselves embarking on an adventure to an ancient castle.
However, upon their arrival at the mysterious castle on the map, strange things begin to happen. Kelly can’t ignore what feels like a presence in their midst…an evil presence. As they make their way around the castle, they soon discover that things are not as they seem. No matter the distance they travel, it appears as though they end up where they’ve started. They quickly learn there is no swift exit to their outing. Somehow, they seem to have entered an alternate realm.
Out of nowhere, a stranger, Travis appears. Travis holds the answer to their dilemma. His long agonizing stay within these castle walls has provided him with the knowledge that will allow him to lead them out of their stone prison. With this knowledge, however, comes a grave cost - only as many people that have entered this alternate realm, can leave. Since Travis naturally intends to be one of them, the reality of their fate becomes clearer, tensions rise, giving way to a battle amongst the dearest of allies. Someone must stay behind and endure the potential years of torment.
As the stakes get higher, friendships crumble, ideals are crushed, values fade and morals are thrown by the wayside. Each person struggles to overcome the sudden horrific images and hallucinations that haunt their minds and force them to battle inner demons that are causing them to transform into vicious beings. With hopelessness and fear taking over, the bonds of friendship and love are tested beyond their worst nightmares. There’s a smell of desperation in the air, as each person wants to be one of the ‘chosen four’ to leave these castle walls.
With the loss of hope and reason, anarchy and self survival comes to light. The journey to madness comes from within one’s own true nature. Inner savagery can only be covered up so long before it breaks out… and when you’re looking for a way out…the key to survival comes from “Within”.
